True, Irani food is very different to ours. They are big meat eaters though and pretty lavish on the presentation.

Some of their dishes are just out of this world good:

I was watching a roundup of the Irani cafes in Bombay and their prices have shot thru da roof bhai. Plate of barberry polao is like Rs1500 to Rs2000 at Brittanica and Kiyani's outlets. So much inflation. Qeema platter is Rs1200.....lol

Those types of places have a reputation, bhai, cultivated over generations.

Doc sb is the one to ask about Irani/Parsi food in India.

I used to order a lot, sali chicken / boti and some other stuff, berries wala pulao.

mast food, man.. zabardast, rest we have something called a behrouz biryani, might've mentioned earlier, Irani inspired.. very nice, not sure how authentic though.

My fav food is middil eastrun/israeli, grill, no too much mirch masala tel.. just perfect, light.

Behrouz gave me food poisoning this New Year's eve.

Wife and kids saying dada you drank too much. Wife grumbling he can't tolerate it now. Yada yada.

Next night I hear her retching and puking in the bathroom.

After the perfunctory are you ok's, my look to her was priceless.

Old couples can say a lot without saying anything. Lol

Next time try some Central Asian cuisine too. Youll fall in love.
Pilaf, Mantu, lagman, Samsa, Shashlik etc. Extremely tasty but subtle flavors. Not overpowering atleast for me like the eastern cuisine.

BBK accha hai, biriyani kilo.. nice matka dum packed stuff..

big chains waali baat, but.. neighborhood digs sometimes turn out to be the best.

I been to the odd Afghani and rare Syrian dhaba, word of mouth place where only generally unke expats and refugees go.. very nice. I like that, actual meat ka taste, not masala coated every bite.

but my tastes are too desified now, masala mangta littel bit :P

Pathetic behaviour man. She's a lady. Bc kia hi hogya even if she prayed? They dont speak language, they aint natives so its understandable for them to get confused.

Certain populations in India really need a crash course on etiquettes.

A snake does not change its markings.

It is what it is, as expected from enabled uneducated street thugs.

Thanks to Modi and his extremist agenda, whipping up Hindutva which regular street criminals use as an alibi to harass innocents (especially what some of the idiots in this very forum call "Katua". i.e. you or me)- these people will take the law into their own hands. Add the lawlessness in India, and you've got a perfect storm.

In either Pakistan or Bangladesh, even regular decent people in the streets would come to the aid of these tourists, but not in India.

Rather - they got detained by police. Wow.
