Bangladesh army has taken up a project to upgrade 98 T-59 tanks. The upgrade works could be done either at BMTF or at Taxila Heavy Industry of Pakistan.

105 mm oto melara model 56 pack howitzers are being used by the Bangladesh army since the 70s. They have been proven very suitable in Chittagong Hill Tracts against Shanti Bahini-----a terrorist group sponsored by India. Currently 105 mm oto melara model 56 pack howitzers are being replaced by Turkish 105mm MKE Boran light howitzers.
