The premises was that the West recognizes the Syrian group much faster because they supported them while they were destroyed by the Taliban (Turkey included as they invaded alongside NATO).

I don't care. Assad or HTS doesn't matter to me. I'm on the side of whoever wins. HTS won while Assad was running away to Russia. They are the legitimate government in Syria as far as I'm concerned. The war is over, time for refugees to go back to their country.

Many in the IRGC have mentioned recently that the western/ Turkish/ Israeli infiltration of the SAA was on an unprecedented scale. Dozens of commanders defected or simply disappeared over the years leading up to this disaster in Syria. Entire units!
They got bought off yaar! and the SAA refused to fight. Iran and Russia were left holding all the bags.
Khamenei gave the order to pullout.
