Murad Ali Shah sworn in as Sindh CM​

Syed Murad Ali Shah of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has been sworn in as Sindh Chief Minister for the third time.

The oath-taking ceremony, held at the Governor House in Karachi, was administered by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. Notable attendees included Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar, PPP leaders, and various officials, along with diplomats and consul generals from different countries.

A day earlier, Murad secured 112 votes compared to MQM-P's Ali Khurshidi's 36 during a session of Sindh Assembly. A total of 148 votes were cast during polling.

An accountability court in Islamabad on Saturday granted President Asif Ali Zardari immunity from criminal proceedings in two cases of the National Accountability Court (NAB).

According to the court order, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, since Zardari was elected to the president's office this year, no criminal proceedings can be launched against him and any proceedings already underway have been stayed or paused.

The president had last month petitioned the court under Section 248(2) of the Constitution, which states that no criminal proceedings can be launched or continued against a sitting president or governor.

Because Zardari has the support of a corrupted deep state (état profond), which controls the power and judiciary.Their objective is to get immunity for themselves while adding more prosecution on the opposition.
