We need both J-10 and JF-17 to keep India at bay.
J-10 is good but too expensive and hard for Bangladesh to manage.
JF-17 is a much better choice because it will do the tasks that Bangladesh needs and allow it to even up the aerial playing field with its neighbors. Myanmar has a stronger Airforce than Bangladesh due to its JF-17s it bought from Pakistan alone.
If Bangladesh starts operating a dozen JF-17s, it will be stronger than Myanmar by a long shot. It will also be stronger than the 'Eastern Part' of India. India cannot manage a three front-war against Bangladesh, China, and Pakistan. It has its hands full with Pakistan alone, it cannot survive an onslaught from a stronger Bangladesh. Jf-17s would make India feel threatened, @Sharma Ji @Vsdoc
JF-17s are also a lot more affordable @Lulldapull
They are the best choice for developing countries because there are no strings attached as is the case with Western Jets.
There will be no "3 point" war.
When and if the time comes, there will be a one day blitzkrieg.
And Bangladesh will cease to exist as an independent state.
Bangladesh cannot afford to buy Western jets. Their prices are prohibitively high. As for J-10, they are cheap($50-60 million a piece) and can withstand any attack from RAFALE of IAF. JF-17, on the other hand, is perfect to deal with Myanmar's MIG-29s. That's why I said we need both J-10 and JF-17.🙂J-10 is good but too expensive and hard for Bangladesh to manage.

But the mere presence of a stronger Bangladeshi Airforce would definitely be much harder for India to handle, at least agree on that much?
And the Bangladeshis will become the world's largest internment camp.

See what playing too much video games can do to you? There will be no "3 point" war.

That's a bit too far, wouldn't you say?
Brother, BAF has been operating and maintaining MIG-29s since 2001. J-10s are in no way more difficult to maintain than MIG-29s.J-10, as I mentioned earlier, is a bit too hard for Bangladesh to manage and operate. JF-17s are perfect for third world countries.
Do tou honestly believe India lacks the capability?
Remember, our BSF (like your Rangers?) is more than sufficient for them.
