Tejas program was subject to numerous delays. However, the end result a product best in its class. What was conceived to be the replacement of Mig 21 turned out to be a 4.5 generation platform best in its class. It is a foundation stone of MWF, ORCA, AMCA etc. Like we started with with satellite carried in a bullock cart and built ISRO, like we started with a humble missile development program and become world's top missile power, we are heading towards becoming super power in the field fighter planes. Tejas is a foundation stone of that. Like how the India's military prowess perception changed in just 4 days and India established itself as a major military power, India's planes with its world beating software and AI will establish itself as leading planes in the world outsmarting anything else.
