Islamabad (Pakistan), Mar 8 (UNI) Unidentified armed men gunned down Mufti Shah Mir, a leading religious scholar of Balochistan, in Turbat town of Kech, late on Friday night, police said.

Indians generally tend to think that extremists of any stripe who threaten India are being cossetted in neighbor countries like Pakistan or Bangladesh.

This is not the case in reality - despite Indian state-sponsored propaganda to the contrary.

Extremists are a problem to any legit govt. and they are banned - at least in Bangladesh that I can speak of.

Police used teargas yesterday to disperse a procession of banned militant outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir in front of Baitul Mukarram Masjid in the capital after Jum'ua prayers yesterday. Law enforcers detained several men from the spot.

All Islamist extremist outfits are banned in Bangladesh, the same ones that are banned in India.
