DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran’s military said early Saturday that Israeli strikes on the country targeted military bases in Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran provinces, causing “limited damage.”

The statement from Iran’s armed forces was read aloud on state television, which showed no images of the damage described. Iran’s military claimed its air defenses limited the damage done by the strikes, without providing additional evidence.

Yup, I posted this in the main thread but this news deserves its own space.

Missiles strikes launched from the ground in Israel, or F 35s dropping munitions from right above, or standoff range attacks with a combination of 15s, 16s and the F 35 managing the whole strike package (like F22s did in Syria/Libya) ?

Still very measured kinda, right ? After a drone hit Bibi's residence, I was expecting they to blow up the presidential palace or whatever the Iranians call it, maybe take out an iconic monument or so.. there were other targets but Israel said it wasn't touching the oil installations or nuclear facilities.

They could also hit a few ports, crater some runways.. options to bhot hain.

Iran is not Lebanon. Iran's air defense is many times more powerful than the air defense of Hezbollah. Has the Iranian air force received the 42 SU-35 which they ordered a while ago?
