She is 100% right.

Ive seen it up close in my own family. Mum's side.

In families where siblings are really close, it is a crime to split them apart in different continents.
Parents should not leave any country if they are 70 years old.

That is the worst thing imaginable. I am a witness to this wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.

The trauma is too severe to be uprooted at that age

Same for many (like my dad) to leave their city and move to another.

My mother made friends easily. Dad was like me (or vice versa actually). Very selective in making friends.
Nobody should leave their country for another if they’ve lived there all their lives.

Bohot bura hashar hota hae doc!

You don’t know the damage it does to their psyche. Life span mental health all is affected.

It’s very traumatic.

Khushnood located his mom to LA and now she has cancer. Perfectly healthy lady…..never touched a cigarette never really drank no nothing.

Mental health is supreme and if you god forbid get into depression, that’s the end.

Relocation to west at a late age is a death sentence bhai.

though I'm told that after the civil war, abhi bhi Beirut is pretty segregated into 3 living areas.. The Shia , the Sunni and the Christy quarters.

Sunni are not that well off, Shia dominate the social scene, Christies also doing good.

Ek mera dost gaya tha, Kashmiri mull.. he was pretty shocked by how stuff is there.

On some other vlogs I saw that some buildings still bear the scars, bullet holes from the war.. and in the early days of the Syrian civil war, there was this documentary of it spilling into Beirut again.. people firing from their homes into the bagal waali building lol

lemme try and find it
