Meri, as usual, layman waali take hai but..

yeah, makes a lot of sense to go with a 'whole ecosystem' waali deal.. linear logistics, proper streamlined..

makes things a LOT easier when maintaining complex platforms such as fighters.

US shut out Pak from their shop, and they have sway over the EU.. with Russia, India is still a huge strategic partner, close to 300 MKIs, 2 aircraft carriers, SSNs on lease, advanced air defence etc.. that military relationship goes DEEP.

Hillary as SOS came with F35 ka brochure, "kya pasand karenge ?" she axed.

Came with too many riders, and a need to cut Russia out. Humne mana kar dia.

They still want to milk India with arms sales, and India for its part also has to curry favor with them some. We've found a nice little happy middle dealing ground..

Artillery

Transport, heavy lift, and surveillance/ASW airplanes.

Drones.

Attack and transport helos.

P8I Neptune, C-17, C-130, Chinooks, Apaches.. there's also small arms, javelins and many others where they doing JVs and stuff.

Not a bad place to be in, ideally we'd be fully indigenized with afterburning turbofans and all sorts of tech but we're not there, yet.
