Well, that is obvious, looking at their population.

But remember, like Ukraine, generational chances don't keep coming.

Once the moment is past, its gone forever.

And all future generations are consigned to live with the ramifications .

In 1971 also Indira and Sam must have thought it would get ugly.

What happens if they had stopped then?

well we Indians did not started it rather it was muslims that wanted a new nation based on TWO NATION theory and then divided it further on basis race and language and now created a mega movement against resrvations and certain benfits to the children of so called MUKTI JODHHA into a full blown anty HINDU ANTY INDIA movement ..... so who is responsible ????

Modernization is a continuous process. More infantry divisions will be added to the current force structure of the army. 10 divisions are enough to make the cost of Indian invasion prohibitively high.
 
Bangladesh by its very geography is essentially an Indian protectorate.

A small strip of land is all the Indian Army needs to roll over and hold.

The Indian Naval blockade does the rest.

Bangladesh goes back to the stone age.
