It is not difficult to understand. We are naturally the world's first liberal humanitarian hyperpower that believed in secularism and human rights and dignity. Long long long before the west was even a thing or had stopped using grass and leaves to wipe their arse.
If you take Iran today as Persia's successor state and the global west as the successor state of Greece and Rome, then essentially these two sides have been in mortal conflict for over 3000 years.
It is also a fact that Persian and Hellenic influences are seen directly in both cultures and civilizations. Because when you are obsessed with one side in war, a certain degree of Stockholm Syndrome kicks in.
Not just culturally, but in terms of religion and faith as well. With a huge degree of cross pollination of deities and pantheon of Gods.
It is also an undeniable historical fact, that just as Greece (Macedonia) reigned over Persia for anywhere between 50 to 100 years, Zoroastrianism was the official state religion of Rome for over 500.
So it is not incongruent at all that Iranis (or Parsis) are most comfortable in the west. And fit in so well also.
But that is not the same thing as being subservient (lun te charrhna per your vocab).
