I just saw an interview with a marriage counselor who says max number of aunties sleeping outside their marriage, by a big margin, is Chandigarh.

Mera dost slightly rich type ka hai, uska good scene hai... nice villa with pool, fancy car, binnusman, kid in US or British school. Even he was saying its mostly an expat city, kaam dhanda expats doing, locals stay in the enclaves and just collect rent or payment from the partnership thing one needs to set up a business there. He says Pakistani cabbies etc kaafi excited ho jate hain if they find out he's India Kashmiri "aap pe bhot zulm hai" etc they tell him

If you karobari type bhai then I guess its a good spot.......Hur corporate bldg run by UK/ Aussie/ Canada expat directors and then middle mgmt Indian or Arbi migrants......lower tabqa saara bicharay Pakistani/ Bungali log, in the office jobs.......Baqi sub labor caste bhai.......truck naan chhola stop.......lassi......ya biryani/ Nihari restaurant chalao......fukking 45 deg C at night. Saara third world of subcontinent as tourists or migrant labor. Its not a good scene Sharma.

Pakistani cabbies have kickass restaurants there. That type meat dishes nahin milte yahan.

I'd love to try some genuine Pakistani meaty stuff someday, idhar mushkil hai kholna.. good thing we got plenty of our own mull cuisine.

Exactly. We have our own very typical mull cuisine.

The moment you taste their gravy you realize unka tel aur masala alag hai humse.

Ya, corporates ka bhi, spl fintech etc waley logon ka full good scene I have heard, this guy I know is a big name in his industry, global clientele who come there and pick fancy rugs and stuff.

This other guy I know, got an offer for a real estate sales gig.. a week before he was to leave, usko bola ki hi must deposit his passport and sign a bunch of paperwork, it was all very shady, guy backed out after smelling some kinda scam. Log phas jaatey hain. Housekeeper, maids/nannies ki bhi exploitation some times but they got some Pinoy, Malay or Kerala ladies in high demand. Very weird business and work environment there, old style Arbi-Islami things mixed in with all the regular paperwork.

I figure our awadhi/UP style comes closest.. 1 inch tel waala red korma, shami, chapli, open skewer bbq/not in tandoor kebabs. Some commonalities too, spl across Punjab border regions, sarson da saag/makki di roti, lassi etc lol
