[🇮🇳] Anti India Terrorist killing in foreign soil

Indians generally tend to think that extremists of any stripe who threaten India are being cossetted in neighbor countries like Pakistan or Bangladesh.

This is not the case in reality - despite Indian state-sponsored propaganda to the contrary.

Extremists are a problem to any legit govt. and they are banned - at least in Bangladesh that I can speak of.

Police used teargas yesterday to disperse a procession of banned militant outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir in front of Baitul Mukarram Masjid in the capital after Jum'ua prayers yesterday. Law enforcers detained several men from the spot.



All Islamist extremist outfits are banned in Bangladesh, the same ones that are banned in India.

My bad. Jamaat in Bangladesh has not conducted any known terrorism activities as a political party. I don't know what flimsy pretext was used to ban them in India. However they do not have more than 10% following politically. Jamaat carries out its politics on non-violent manner in Bangladesh. Party internal discipline is exemplary, they have zero corruption and they frequently conduct Iftar soirees nowadays with the embassies and high commissions of the US and UK, among other Western entities. If they were a terrorist outfit, this would not happen.

The Lashkar e Taiyyiba (LeT) is also banned along with other globally designated militant terrorist entities (Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Muhammad et al), but these are not aspiring to be political parties in Bangladesh. @Saif bhai may kindly comment, if he knows more. According to the existing laws, these organizations below (aspiring "political parties") cannot operate in any capacity in Bangladesh.

Your Hindutva govt. is overzealous in banning Islamic political parties unless they tow the official Hindutva line. JeI is back contesting polls in Kashmir though.
