As I have said many times, Iranians are amongst finest of people but they are ruled by fanatic mullahs. A country which should have been a modern and progressive country is reduced to a country sponsoring terrorism, oppressor of their people and dysfunctional foreign policy. It is definitely a rogue state. It's opposition to Israel is purely ideological and comes from the haterat emerging from holi book.

Not only Iran but any nation whose core ideology lies in holy book and whose policies are influenced by holy book is invariably a rogue nations. Examples are all Islamic nations baring Indonesia.

Basics remain the same for all matters as far as we are concerned.

Same god, same book, same teachings.

Think of Shia and Sunni as their internal political succession differences.

It has nothing to do with us. Nor impacts us in any way.

The chapters are verses (suras?) regarding us are all alike. The same.

This was explained to me once by a Sunni friend. When he was bemused at my romanticized world view towards Shias.

All my good friends are Shias or Shia mixes. Indian and Iranian.

I don't know why, but now that I think about it, save one, I have never had a Sunni friend. And he was in school. When I had no idea of these things.
