The whole premise of war since WW2 is to very quickly deliver a body blow to your opponent with a powerful attack, which breaks his back and destroys his will to fight.War is so basic no?
To kill a people, you need to reach where they live.
Not kill their army.
If you can't do this within the first few days, then you will lose.
If war devolves into tit for tat retaliations, then that means you have already lost and that you misjudged your opponents strength/ resilience.
What is even more disturbing now is that super intervention is almost a 100% certainty.
