How I got scammed by a telecaller - real incident

I was desperately seeking part-time job. Hence I was Googling for job sites. That's how the scammer must have got my number.

He called me to ask if I wanted a part-time job. Then he gave a simple task of giving ratings to resorts and sending the screenshot as evidence of completing the task. He credited 150 INR to my bank account for three tasks. He continued giving more tasks. In between he gave the task related to stuff like trading, stocks, cryptocurrency, etc. For that I had to invest money. By the way I am illiterate in stuff like trading, stocks, cryptocurrency, etc. I invested 2000/3000 INR. I made the payment through PhonePe. Initially he gained my trust and confidence by giving a returns of roughly 1000 INR (in addition to that 2000/3000 I had invested). This too was credited to my bank account. For next task the scammer asked me to choose another investment scheme from the options of roughly 6000 INR, 12,000 INR, 18,000 INR and so on upto roughly 50,000 INR. This time I chose the option of 6000 INR. After a while the scammer started asking further 18,000 INR to recover previous investment of 6000 INR. I couldn't pay even if I wanted to as I didn't have that much money. The scammer attempted to smoothly and sweetly talk me into giving more money but I didn't have. After deducting 1000 INR (due to earlier returns) the net loss comes to roughly 4000-4500 INR.

Why I got scammed SECOND time?

There was an advertisement ostensibly of part-time job in my Facebook feed. I knew it was the same scam but I thought this time it was being done by a different group that didn't know I was an experienced victim.

Later it turned out that either it was the same group or the two distinct groups shared database of previous victims. That's how they got my FB id to post their advertisement.

Since I thought that this was a different group unaware of my experience, I thought I may get a return if I make investment just once with this 'new' group of scamsters.

I made a payment of 1000 INR. Then after a while they asked me to top up the payment with 2000 INR. I made that payment also because I was still hopeful that this was a new group unaware of my experience. When I asked for the returns on my payment, they started giving false excuses. Then I realized it was the same matter again.

Bro, point I was making was, ki you should have been aware of this type of bs.

Aaj kal har cheez mei scam ka khatra hai.

I had a thread up at the other place I think, they tried to scame me with a "aapke parcel me drugs nikli hai, I'm the deputy of narco department" .. some xutiapa they were trying.

I went full jaat/gujjar on them 🤣 "tannay gaam ma aakay teri ma beti chodoon.." type .. once I'd realized its a fraud.

Initially meri fati, because I had a package incoming from Singapore or wherever it was, that bit was correct.. but all I'd ordered was a music gadget from a legit online store, I had the receipts to show for it all.

At one stage I told them, jab meri fatt si rahi thi, ki mujhe fasa dia type...

I said, hand on, let me talk to my lawyer, called my high flying contact guy and he burst out laughing... bezti hui

I paid that bezti back to the scammer x 1trillion.
