Here is the situation right now in Iran:
Reza Pahlavi (leader of opposition and transition council) appeared in Iranian TV (all channels) for 10 min two days ago (hacking was done by unknown org) and asked all armed forces of Iran to protect people not the islamic republic.
Three US aircraft carriers are approaching Iran from three different directions. Mullah regime of Iran has two choices..:
1- leave and hand over the government to the leader of opposition for a smooth transition via "transition government"
2- Take your chances and fight all three massive forces lined up against you( angry Iranian nation, US and Israel forces) each one of these forces alone can topple the regime .
My personal guess is that they will choose option #2 if you know anything about how shia zealots think . They will fight and will loose the seat of the government in short few days . Either way, option 1 or option 2 they will no longer be in control of Iran's government or access to her resources..the country will be damaged severely but will recover (thanks to her oil/gas) ..Remnants of the Islamic zealots will be hunted down by the new "National Government" or even by Israel and killed where ever they hide . Corrupt mullahs have already started transfering Gold, bitcoin and $$ out of Iran on massive scale (figure of few $1.5 Billion and $300 million has been mentioned by US treasury)
The lesson that we learn from this Tragedy for all nations of the world is:
Never mix religion with politics.....if you do you will destroy both
