Ironically the only reason India has nuclear technology is because of Canada.

India threatening to nuke Canada is similar to Russia using its nukes on Ukraine (who gave nukes back to Russia after the Soviet collapse).

Completely wrong & ignorant. Canada supplied reactors to Bharat and these reactors as far as I know were built with the help of a common European & North American co-operation.

Pakistan's own nuke program had civilian reactors supplied by Canada and China as well, but again Canada built them with European & American help.

The Russian Federation's arsenal is mostly inherited from the Soviet Union.
Ukraine and Kazakhstan agreed to give up their share of theirs to the Russain Federation.

Exactly.

Just as Chernobyl was a Soviet reactor ... among 5 at the time of the disaster.

The Ukrainians did not exactly agree. They never had a choice in the matter while breaking away.

Russia simply was not going to give up control of its nuclear arsenal to a breakaway state on it border!

People must appreciate that the Soviet system broke down economically.

But at the time, they still had upwards of 15,000 nukes aimed at the west.

Saying that Ukraine had a choice and acted noble (and see how they suffering for it yada yada) is living in lala land.

Canada also supplied refined Uranium to India around the mid-fifties to run these supplied reactors and it continues to do so today some seventy years later. Given recent developments though, that may become a question mark.
