There are reports that they have received 4 more yaks but no evidence of this claim...and the same reports indicate no SU35 untill March 21 ..so only 2 YAKs confirmed on the tarmac..Did Iran receive anything new since the two Yak-130 ies that got delivered last year?
I heard that Iran was going ahead with a plan to induct. 24 Su-35 from Russia. Any news on that? There are reports that they have received 4 more yaks but no evidence of this claim...and the same reports indicate no SU35 untill March 21 ..so only 2 YAKs confirmed on the tarmac..

As you already know, the SU-35s were initially manufactured for the Egyptian Air Force. If Russia were to transfer them to Iran, they would need a reasonable amount of time to customize and rebrand the planes. Additionally, Iranian pilots would require rigorous training to learn how to operate the Su-35s. This would lead to further delays in the delivery schedule.Nothing new to report.
There is a new angel to Russian and Chinese relationship with Iran that I am seeing in some commentators discussion...in short China refuses to invest in Iran three years after signing the 400 billion MOU because they view current Islamic Regim too unstable and believe the next Government system in Iran will be pro-west ..I wonder if such views are talked about in Russia..what will happen to their SU 35 if Iran' next goverment is back in the Western camp...just thinking out of the box !!!.As you already know, the SU-35s were initially manufactured for the Egyptian Air Force. You know the Iranian revolution 1979 was engineered by the Soviets with Iranian leftists. Later Khamenei hijacked it from the leftists and killed them. Therefore, Russia doesn't trust the mullahs and their relationship is more of convenience. Russia is counting on the Iranian secular anti-west groups who are among the Iranian students and intellectual class. I believe the next Iranian secular government will not be so much pro-west but rather independentThere is a new angel to Russian and Chinese relationship with Iran that I am seeing in some commentators discussion...in short China refuses to invest in Iran three years after signing the 400 billion MOU because they view current Islamic Regim too unstable and believe the next Government system in Iran will be pro-west ..I wonder if such views are talked about in Russia..what will happen to their SU 35 if Iran' next goverment is back in the Western camp...just thinking out of the box !!!.
You are correct about 1979 events.. I was there as a young engineer arrived from Canada working Shah military industries ..Khomeini indeed hijacked the revolution..You know the Iranian revolution 1979 was engineered by the Soviets with Iranian leftists. Iran will open up its economy and today's west do not have much money anyway for overseas investments except in the service sector like insurance, banking etc. China will become the biggest investor. Secular Iran probably will set new modern lifestyle standard for the West as majority in the west live pay check to pay check. You are correct about 1979 events.. As I look at the young crowds on the streets today they wants modern life style of western society . Yes Russians will try to keep mullahs in power as long as they could but they have sensed the flood for a change is unavoidable... I agree that the next government will be more independent than shah but for this young generation Western pull is too strong to resist...and Iran will need lots of investment to catch up for the past 45 years especially in the oil/gas and mining sectors..China will be there also to compete.. all that is left is for Iranians to boot the mullahs in the trash can..lol
@LegionnairE The JF-17 with Turkish Sub systems would give the Iranians a leeway into Turkish technology, no?
I said from the start their 313 looks like a teeny tiny hobby turbine powered RCHere's the glorious Qaher F313, Iranian 5th gen fighter. Now it's an RC plane apparently.

I fcking hate these bearded clowns.
Its running on AI now. Just like their multi purpose Karrar drone. Except this thing will eventually evolve into a LO platform.I said from the start their 313 looks like a teeny tiny hobby turbine powered RC
This scale model does seem to have a bit more detail with the fake panel lines, they no proper hatches to get to electricals etc, those are just panel lines like on a scale model.
tsk tsk.
waiting on @Lulldapull 's rabid defense of this joke

I don't see how its 'junk'.......90% of its functions are either automated or on AI.Are you not embarrassed to show off this 1970s junk like it's new?
No, man. Drones have added a new dimension to the battlefield but have not made all else obsolete.@LegionnairE @Sharma Ji
I couldn't pay yous enuff to go sit in a tank or fly an F-16 today.......You would refuse my offer! no matter da amount.......cuz youz wan live no?
Iran's far ahead of both India or Turkey in defense technology and doctrine. Unlike yous, them Iranis figured out this gimmick decades ago:
=
yes they totally have......I'm not goin sit in a tank or fly an eff-sola.......lolNo, man. Drones have added a new dimension to the battlefield but have not made all else obsolete.
mruti gaddi chalatey ho appyes they totally have......I'm not goin sit in a tank or fly an eff-sola.......lol
No thanks bhai.
it's not "stealthy" LMFAOI don't see how its 'junk'.......90% of its functions are either automated or on AI.
Its small so defacto stealthy.
Does 500 knots and flies a 1000 km's radius.
Carries either a manpad or a sidewinder slung underneath or a Mk-82 in bomber role.
Performs multiple roles with a fraction of the costs of maintaining a fighter jet.
I'd take a sqd of Karrar drones instead of an F-16 today tbh.......it's not "stealthy" LMFAO
it's a 1970s American target drone. TARGET DRONE. It's designed to be shot at

it's so old it's literally a museum piece right now
Man yous got no clue what yous sayin.......lolThey're much better placed than Saddam's Iraq to entrench themselves well and make life absolute hell for an invading land force, woh toh hai, bhai.
Iraq, Fallujah etcwere but a small trailer, some of the fiercest fighting this century, maybe the most !
but in the air, it'll be what the Americans call a "Turkey Shoot"
air force hi nahi hai, or barely si hai.. achaar daal lo 10 12 sukhoi 30s ka and even with decent AD.. their AD will be knocked out before they're swarmed, desert storm style..
You're greatly overestimating them, yet again.Man yous got no clue what yous sayin.......lol
If Iran was such a cake walk, they'd a long overrun it decades ago.
All US bases in the GCC will be gone along with all the oil infra, west of the Persian Gulf, along wid da western economies.
Iran will shut down Hormuz aur aap ka baap (humreeka) kuchh ne karsakta phir.
