WASHINGTON, Dec 19 (Reuters) - A senior White House official on Thursday said nuclear-armed Pakistan is developing long-range ballistic missile capabilities that eventually could allow it to strike targets outside of South Asia, including in the United States.

In his stunning revelation about the onetime close U.S. partner, Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer said Islamabad's conduct raised "real questions" about the aims of its ballistic missile program.

"Candidly, it's hard for us to see Pakistan's actions as anything other than an emerging threat to the United States," Finer told the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace audience.

"Pakistan has developed increasingly sophisticated missile technology, from long-range ballistic missile systems to equipment that would enable the testing of significantly larger rocket motors," he said.

If those trends continue, Finer said, "Pakistan will have the capability to strike targets well beyond South Asia, including in the United States."

His speech came a day after Washington announced a new round of sanctions related to Pakistan's ballistic missile development program, including on the state-run defense agency that oversees the program.

He is a troublemaker shilling for someone interested.

I cannot fathom any possible reason that Pakistan would want to target the US with a ballistic missile - even if it is capable.

As long as we are looking at bizarre possibilities - he also needs to look into Indian Ballistic Missile capabilities if he is really interested. They have Pakistan beat by a mile.

Yes only he is shilling.

Not the uninvolved irrelevant Bangladeshi here.

Oh bhai Pakistan has no such capability. All we can strike comfortably is as far as phateechar Iraq or Syria. Yes we can, but we don't got the numbers required to make a diff nor do we got hypersonics. And we don't have a real attack drone nor missile program like the Iranis do on steroids. All we got is small numbers of imports from China and Turkey which will be shot down by India in two minutes.

I can't believe how foolish our Generals are in not developing a proper drones and missiles industry and relying instead on imported expensive commercially available C-grade weaponry which won't cut the mustard when the time comes.

Looking at wars in the ME and Ukraine today, we might as well sell (more like donate) 90% of our weapons to sub Saharan African countries cuz they're just junk now!

I'm also doubtful if sub Saharan Africans would even bother taking our used weapons because it would cost a fortune to ship em that far, unless seller payin shipping.

If you tell this truth on our other forum, people over there shiit their pants or they'll have a third world style emotional breakdown.

Bhai there was a guy called Cliftonite on the OG forum.

Hounded out and banned permanently, for much the same thing.

Karachi walas are essentially Indians on the wrong side of the border.

On the record, we have nothing in our arsenal to hit Israel with (conventionally)......

NOTHING!

Only a handful of IRBM's, most of which will get intercepted by IDF's ABM defenses. More worrying than this sad reality is that we don't even have a few hundred of them. Iran 200 mayzile aik he jhattkay main chala deta hae, along with hundreds of drones/ cruise missiles we could never fukking ever dream of doing that.

And Eff-sola/ JF-Thunders can't touch Israel.......they got no chance in hell.

These are the sad facts gents.
