@Saif bhai it has been a while where we have seen progress from our Navy yards.

I think funding and orders for our Navy yards was withheld at Indian govt. request, so Hasina could order items from Indian yards.

Now that she is gone, I think we will see revival of activity at our Navy yards (including that of building the new batch of stealth corvettes).

As far as I know, Bangladesh navy has ordered 6 patrol crafts and one Ocean going Tug boat from an Indian shipyard. As for our domestic ship building project, the Bangladesh navy is having great difficulty in making 6 high performance frigates at CDDL. CDDL is not equipped sufficiently to construct such high tech ships at the moment. I heard that with a view to overcome the technological deficiency Bangladesh navy is collaborating with Damen shipyard of the Netherlands to modernize CDDL. The submarine project, on the other hand, has been put on the back-burner for an indefinite period of time

Ah nothing to fret about.

These are all long term projects.

Ships ordered from India must be shelved immediately, I am pretty sure they were (arm-twisting) projects undertaken under Indian credit and Hasina involvement.

We must develop our own shipyard capabilities, and if we let India make ships, it does not help our own capability.
