We're not "building two very similar frigate designs" we're building istif class frigates and we're modernizing the Barbaros class with istif's systems.
Lol no. J600T wouldn't fit inside those VLS cells. They are mainly for Hisar and Siper SAMs. If you want more firepower ATMACA tube launchers can be replaced with more VLS cells or you could go straight for ASFAT AS-3600 which is a heavier frigate design. Which is a viable alternative for countries that can't afford TF-2000

ASFAT showcases heavily armed AS3600 frigate at IDEF 2023 - Naval News
Turkish defense contractor ASFAT, which is affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of Defense, unveiled a new frigate design called the "AS3600" at the IDEF 2023 defense exhibition held last week in Istanbul.www.navalnews.com
Many Thanks for clarifying the scenario.
I was not aware of the ASFAT AS-3600 option - something to chew on I guess.
Anything Bangladesh Navy inducts will need to be built locally - under ToT (like Pakistan Navy Ada class situation).
Inducting destroyers is not about cost, it is more about the defensive littoral warfare scenario along Bangladesh coastline which only favors modern frigates and not deep draft vessels like 8000 plus ton destroyers.
I don't believe PN is going to induct Destroyers soon, and the same is definitely true about BN. Of course PN is a far more capable naval force than BN is currently and Destroyers may be part of PN soon enough.
