Yaar bilal here in Japan it rains every week. This Japan is no bike place bhai. Yes fantastic hwys/ infra here just it ain’t no California here you know.Most Royal Enfield motorbikes cannot really be called "cruisers" like a purebred Harley (with high handlebars and a lowslung relaxed seat for comfort in long rides), I see them more as "Cafe Racer" body style bikes.
The Royal Enfield model whose tooling was transferred to the Chennai factory after WWII ended was a cafe racer body style.
However - I'd love to be proven wrong.
I don't know how receptive the Japanese market is to Cafe Racers - maybe more so for cruisers - especially Harleys (which is more of an image thing).
