There are some slums in Saudi that are worse than those in Dharavi Mumbai. Some marketplaces have street hawkers selling Tasbeeh and Jainamaaz on the smelly streets (not just desis but Yemenis and Ethiopeans too) and dirty places that look worse than backstreet lower class neighborhoods in Bangladesh or Pakistan. Saudis are just content to let things slide and be what they are until they get tired of them, then bulldoze the whole neighborhood. In some Saudi cities, you will forget that you are in Saudi, rather than some 4th tier desi town.

Ya, dirty underbelly regions everywhere, totally not surprising. China too.

When you got homeless in LA looting *&*&*&*& and selling meth etc, spare a thought for the genuine poors of the world.

We he subcontinent lot are still few notches above African and South American countries. I been told chain snatchings and small time robbery/hold ups with a gun of knife are soo common in Argentina etc, by comparison, India is safe af.. and that's saying a lot.

bc, you can find this scene in literally every major city of India.

AIIMS is free, but govt run hai, poorly managed.. this is where trainee docs sharpen their chops. Better than any med education you can get in the US or wherever (not talking specialized surgery etc, just foundational stuff)

I knew a guy, family owned some hospitals in mid tier Punjab cities and was student there.. bhot ragdai hai, bhai.. lotsa drug use on campus, just to study those phat 10 inch wide med books... and they all get a corpse final 2 years, which is kinda cool.
