There are 36 of such caves and Kailash temple is one of them in Elora caves. It is even difficult to conceptualize. Whole temple campus was curved out of a single stone. 5 lakh tons of stone was removed to curved out campus with numbers of temples inside the campus and tens of thousands of idols, curving of Ramayana stories, everything curved out from a single stone.

Looks very much like the Apadana motif of Persepolis……look at the blocked up badgirs in the background and totally zoro motifs city feel. The floral murals and room interiors have been redone in Safavi style, but those square very art deco type badgir/ towers are totally zoro.

The easiest way to make out is if the motifs contain human, beast (often mix) figures or Gods versus Islamic motifs which will only be swirls and paisley motifs, and flowers and vines, but never any living animal or man.
