Sindhis were originally never considered to be a caste under Sanatana dharma. They were outside the caste system. Therefore, they were not even Hindu or Buddhists. To escape this social dogma they converted to Islam along with their landlords or feudal loads who owned their lands where Sindis used to work as serfs.
