There have been recent attacks on two of the Russian Nuclear Early warning systems in Southern Russia, which cover South Russia and Iran. West is using Ukraine because these systems have nothing to do with Ukrainian territory, and they are very far away from Ukraine.

The Nazi's killed 28 million Russians, whilst losing only 4 million or so of their soldiers, but still the Russians beat them! All the battles the Nazi's won, fair and square in terms of men and equipment lost, but the Russians never gave up and kept advancing until they had captured Berlin.
