The also indirectly killed millions of people outside India while engaging in all irresponsible behavior in the subcontinent. For example, the Opium Wars.

Yeah, and look at how they are treated in India today. That's why there is a Khalistani movement and many resonate with it.

If it weren't for the Sikhs and Nepali Gurhka, the Indian army would be nothing but put to shatter. Yet, the Hindu elite ruling party doesn't have a ounce of a brain and cannot see the truth for what it is. To them it's Muslims, Sikhs, and other minorities who are a problem.

Complete nonsense.

Expect better.

@Mainerik it is a typical trait of Pakistanis. Especially the Punjabis.

They need to rationalize why they always get beaten.

So say its because of their own shared bloodlines.

But then, you wonder.

Most of Punjab is in Pakistan.

Why dont they win?

Its important to call out bs when you see it.

Dod you read the whole post?

Or did the uncontrolled urge to reply take over post the first line.

But wasn't it the Muslims of India who mostly stood up against the British even after the Mughal Empires fall? Like Tipu Sultan who died fighting the Brits.

I've also read somewhere, and I quote "Tipu's rockets were an enigma for the armies fighting him. They travelled longer, had metal casing and did not burst prematurely. The British took these rockets to the UK to copy them. It took them more than a decade to come up with anything that could compare."

Tipu was a shitbag.

The dominant power in India, from Attocl to Cuttack, when the Brits came, were the Marathas.

Hindu nationalist as they come.

The Marathas were defeated by the Brits in a series of 3 Anglo Maratha wars, using mainly disenfranchised Muslim turncoats.

Plenty of Hindus too.

The Maratha were brutal in a largely secular manner, as they set out creating their empire. That covered most of the subcontinent, for the first time in over 2000 years.

The kingdoms they defeated were greatly resentful if the taxes they needed to pay.

They saw the Brits as an easy lever to rid themselves of those shackles.

Little realising that the Brits simply saw them as useful fools (the so called martial races were actually those who could be bought to fight ... essentially mercenaries. Mostly from north and north west India. The Punjabis prominent among them). And were there to stay. To loot and pillage the golden cash cow for over 200 years.

No they didn't. The Bengalis and the UP muslims are the real instigators of the Pakistan movement. The Punjabis including the Sikhs were traditional conscripts in the British Indian army along with the Pashto and Balochi's.

These comprised the Bulk of the Royal Indian army.

The seed of the partition was planted by the British after the mutiny of 1857. Segregate people along religious lines.
