Good work. As this is off topic - please open a separate thread for the subjects being discussed.

Studio Blue from Korea is near the best (that I have seen) of building sea-wave dioramas, amazingly realistic. He details the materials used - which are all available in Japan I'm sure. Take a look.

Most ship modelers build smaller details from their own 3D resin printed parts nowadays, machines which I am sure you can also get at some point (under $200). Anycubic Photon Mono series are good ones.

We should open a sticky thread for hobby

You see that Sharma.......

@Sharma Ji

The boat is an inch or so.....1/700 scale (Dragon/ DML) kit. I used GMM Soviet ships photo etch.

The base measures 2.5” x 6" with acrylic gel medium for doing a seascape/ vignette.

Weathered with pastels/ inks for realism.
hoooly shaite, man ! aap to proper modeller nikley !

resin sea, with the crests and troughs, rui waali wake, weathered nicely too... I am most impressed ! 🫡

I gotta ask the mods to do a modellers section here........

You gotta lift your game Sharma.......here Japanese are fukking magicians with craftsmanship and skill.

I'm just embarrassed taking my meager creations to the meetings/ shows.

You know the worlds greatest toy/ hobby fair is held annually in Shizuoka city convocation center. All the worlds hobby companies show up here in Japan for marketing and introducing new products.

Its all high tech injection molding tech. The molds gotta lifespan you know.......after a million cycles the molds/ dyes used to find their way to Russia/ Eastern Europe back in da day, but now the Eastern EU has really come a long way in this technology.

Me being a bit of an off fielder do strange subjects like Irani drones and you know obscure criteria like Soviet cold war or Indo-Pak/ ME genre generally. So that grabs attention because its not run of da mill Eff-sola or Rafale or BF-109 or fukking P-51 Mustang or Spitfire.

You gotta do something unique like a Mohajer or Shahed Drone or A former SyAAF Mig-21 from the civil war or a Pakistani T-69 in Waziristan or an Indian Brahmos or a Uki Technical with a Dshka hunting a S-136.

or an Achaemenid Trimaran heading toward Athens to conquer it.

Airfix ka suna tha some years ago that thy've shifted their moulding factory to India, and people were unhappy about the quality. I searched everywhere, couldn't find a local made kit, must be all meant for export.

Russian kit makers bhi hain, Zveda? and couple others, they do obscure Soviet and Russian kits, Topol M mobile launchers and all sorts of obscure... Irani drones ka I've not seen yet, but must be out there.

I'm gonna 3D print this soon and it will be a fukkin masterpiece. An Aechemenid Warship from 550 BC. A Trimaran.

@Vsdoc .......this fukkin rocks doc......Just look at it........This is what Dariush used to conquer Yunan. So long ago.......

the most satisfying part is the panel liners, that thin paint that gets into the grooves and lines and suddenly your model is popping with realism.. exhaust fume, oil leaks waali places too..

damnit, I need to buy a kit.. ab man kar raha hai to put one together.

Sharma, you gotta do a Folland Gnat/ Ajeet no?

I mean that was da ace in da hole for the IAF back in 65/71.....

Special hobby got a kit.......just for yous.......

Man I'm getting more n more into the obscure world of Aechemenid/ Ashkanian and Sassanid genre. And following up down da line modern Iranian weaponry.

Finished a Shahid-129 recently and electrified/ motorized it in the gentleman's 1/72 scale as a vignette.

I
pics sharing pliz !
added SMD LEDs on the wing tips. A flashing ‘strobe’ landing light LED in the rear lower fuselage. Put a tiny 1.5v micro motor in the tail to spin da prop. And mounted it on a diorama base depicting the interior of an IRGC drone facility. Couple of figures running its electrics and engine on the test stand……it looks fukkin great. 3D printed it off of CG Trader website by downloading it as an FTL file.
