My prediction is that India being a fast growing economy will junk its AF within the next decade or so and switch over to drones and missiles and smart AI systems interlocked with their satellite constellation.

In Bangladesh, things are moving toward procuring at least 1 squadron of J-10C. We are also looking for 8 attack helicopters. We may end up procuring Z-10ME from China.

But why can other countries retain strong air forces at the same time. Already possessing powerful drones, missiles, space technology, and global positioning systems and AI?

All countries are rescinding their manned weapon systems gradually.

You wouldn't want to sit in a tank today even if I gave you a million dollars and told you to go run over a Russian or Uki position in the Donbas.
