How does it feel to be unwelcomed or being turned away at the entrance in your own country?
Surprised, shocked, sad or furious? We feel you too!! This is exactly how some establishments in India treat Indians. "If you are an Indian, no entry, please"!
There are few places in India that have prohibited Indians from entering, in spite of being managed or owned by Indians itself. India is a democratic country and yet, there are still places that cannot be visited as they are set up for catering to the exclusive needs of foreign travellers visiting India or foreigners living in India.
[h3]Here are few places in India that are accessible for "Foreigners" only:[/h3][h2]1. Free Kasol Cafe, Himachal Pradesh[/h2]

Imagine being denied service in a restaurant or café just because you're an Indian. That is exactly what happened at an Israel café named Free Kasol Café, commonly known as "Mini Israel" in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh. This Himachal café is popular for only serving foreigners and especially Israelites.
Back in 2015, an Indian woman was allegedly denied service due to her nationality while her British friend accompanying her was given the menu. Through a Facebook post, the British friend shared his story which went viral and received enormous support from both Indians and Israelites. The owner claimed that the establishment only caters to members and showed no remorse over the incident. Many Indians have had similar experiences and choose not to visit the café.

You may not be an Indian but even if you have the slightest resemblance to an Indian, you will be stopped from entering this café, situated in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Norbulinka Café in Dharamshala, a top favourite spot among foreign tourists follows a strict "Foreigners only policy".

Uno-In Hotel was established in 2012 on Langford Cross Road, Shanthinagar Bangalore to cater to the needs of the Japanese people in the city. Indians were banned from entering the hotel Uno-In-Hotel, as it was exclusively opened for the Japanese. This dint go down very well with the locals and therefore, in 2014, the hotel was reportedly shut down by the Greater Bangalore City Corporation on charges of racial discrimination.

While Broadlands Hotel/Lodge, a budget accommodation for backpackers does not have any "Only Foreigners" policy, the management is more inclined toward welcoming Foreign tourists. Allegedly, an Indian tourist was denied a room at the hotel and was only granted a room after the staff realised that the guest had booked a room online.

Located in the heart of cultural Chennai city, Red Lollipop Hostel is an international standard hostel where Indians are not entertained. The hotel is only reserved for foreigners and first-time tourists visiting India and follow a strict "No Indian" policy. Indians with foreign passports may be permitted too. Moreover, accommodation is only provided on presenting your passport.
The hotel is highly rated on google for its convenient location, affordable accommodation, great hygiene, options of mixed and private dorms and is a favourite among backpacker tourists on a budget trip.

Situated in Kundankulam, Tamil Nadu, this particular colony called the Russian Colony belongs to Russians who are working on a Kundankulam Nuclear Power Project. The colony is full of apartments, clubhouses, hotels, and other entertainment activities for the Russian residents. Indians are not welcomed here.

Goa is a perfect tourist haven, famous for its vibrant nightlife, delicious food, intriguing culture, bohemian tourist scene, and pristine beaches. Famed for its stunning 105m coastline, Goa is home to over 40 beaches. Whether you're looking to indulge in some water sports, looking to party or simply relax under the sun, there's a beach waiting for you. But before you plan a trip to one of those beaches, know that not all beaches are open for Indians. Certain beaches of Goa are only reserved for foreign tourists. Though there is no strict policy or legal restriction but the behavior of the shack and restaurant owners towards Indians is very indifferent. They justify their raciest behavior by saying that they are protecting foreign tourists especially woman tourists from the cheap gaze and teasing by locals. They believe that foreigners prefer privacy and therefore cater more towards their needs neglecting Indians and local people.

Puducherry is known for its white sandy beaches and exotic islands just as it is known for its culture, food and historic architecture. But here too just like Goa, Indians are strictly prohibited from entering certain beaches, shacks, restaurants and cafes. They prefer foreign tourists over Indians in order to avoid making foreigners feel uncomfortable due to the ogling and lusty behavior of locals. There have been certain incidents in the past about misbehavior with foreign female tourists.

Located inside Gokuldham Bungalows at Sanand road of Ahmedabad, Sakura Ryokan Restaurant only welcomes Japansese people. Inspite of the owner himself being an Indian, the restaurant has banned Indians from entering. Apparently, the constant gawking of Indian visitors forced him to implement this "Japanese Only" policy.

Not only Indians, no human is allowed on this island. One of the Andaman Islands, the North Sentinel Island is home to the Indigenous tribe, called the Sentinelese, who have isolated themselves from the outside world. The Sentinelese people resist contact with outsiders and often attack anyone who comes even remotely close to the island. Even visits to the island are heavily restricted by the Government.
