The Battle of The Hill should not be confused for "The Battle of Hilli" which was inarguably the most savagely fought battle of the Indo-Pak War of 1971. As observed by the then Army Commander, Eastern Command, Lt Gen JS Arora, PVSM, “Hilli was the bloodiest battle in the then East Pakistan”.

Although the bloody battle could not be won without the bloodletting and sacrifice by the Mukti Bahini, an overwhelmingly large part of whom went unrecognized in the annals and records of the Indian Army, the Mukti Bahini commander rejected his award.

We used to be one country with East Pakistan, now called Bangladesh. Our foolish military junta tried to strong arm the poor Bengali people into becoming like us in West Pakistan, adopt our culture/ language/ customs etc, but it backfired spectacularly! It came to a head around 1969 or so where the Bangladeshi's told us to fukk off!

India supported the rebels hard-core, just like the CIA/ Mossad did in Syria/ Libya/ Iraq today and India ran Bangladesh as a colony for the last 50 years.

So now, like I always ask the resident Indian fellas here......who masterminded the recent Bangladesh regime change?

We defeated Russia in Afghanistan with the full support of the west. 10,000 Russias died and the nature of guerilla warfare in very difficult mountainous terrain in Afghanistan tanked the Russian will to fight it out.

The USSR never lost a single battle in Afghanistan, but they lost the war!

As a side note, this is exactly what Irans tryin do to Israel. We all know how that will end too…….just a matter of time as the Iranians are very pig headed. They won’t budge and Israel’s an itty bitty two bit country. Virtually indefensible.

Funny thing is there were never more than 50000 soviet soldier in whole Afghan war into afghanistan at any given time and throughout the war they had send less than 115000 sodiers in total which was less than 5% of total soviet standing army so how come AL Bhakistan defeted USSR ... Look at Russia today and look at AL Bhakistan and Afghanistan today ....funny ... and you think you won
