Actually, India and the European Union put heavy pressure on the Sri Lankan government to end the military operation against Tamil Tiger but the Rajapakse brothers did not head to what the Indians and the Europeans had to say about the military operation against Tami Tigers. The end result of the military operation by the Sri Lankan army was the total defeat of Tamil Tiger.
