Aircraft carriers don't go to mission alone. They have escorts to protect themselves. Frigates, destroyers, and submarines are used as escorts to protect aircraft carriers. Indians are overrating Brahmos. Brahmos is nothing but an Indian version of Russian Yakhont anti ship missile.
