Video of newly sworn-in Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz pushing away a female party member while receiving felicitations has gone viral on social media.
The video has gone viral on social media and shows a party member apparently Uzma Kardar hugging her while congratulating her on becoming the first female Chief Minister of Punjab, putting her hand on Nawazâs shoulder. Maryam Nawaz quickly pushed her hands away from her shoulder. And asked her not to touch her shoulders and clothes.
Maryam Nawaz quickly walked past her. Uzma Kardar was previously in PTI and joined PMLN later on. Netizens believe the behavior shown by Maryam Nawaz is against the humility she expressed in her speech at the Punjab assembly. Others believe the PMLN leader should have shown grace.
