But BD is dependent of rice for feeding thie people is a reality.
Not dependent on India. Despite Indian companies begging us to buy. No one in India is giving handouts so no need to feel so smug.

India’s exports surge to record $820 billion in 2024-25 despite global challenges

India’s goods and services exports have crossed a record 820 billion US dollars in the financial year 2024-25, despite economic uncertainties in global markets. Commerce Ministry said this represents a close to 6 percent increase over the corresponding figure of 778 billion dollars for the previous financial year. The figures were revealed at a meeting held by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal with the Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies in New Delhi to discuss the emerging trade scenario. The minister complimented the exporters for the all-time high achievement in exports despite multiple headwinds, including the Red Sea crisis, Israel-Hamas conflict spilling over to the Gulf region, continuation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and slow growth in some developed economies. The Minister lauded the exporters for their resilience and efforts. During the meeting, Mr Goyal also apprised the exporters regarding ongoing discussions with the US for a mutually beneficial multi-sectoral Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA). The minister said the team working on BTA is exploring the right mix and the right balance, and he exhorted the exporters not to panic and look at the silver lining in the present scenario.

That is what I said. You guys talk big mouth but ends up buying good from others, dependent for electricity on others, dependent on logistics on others.

India's merchandise imports exceeded $700 billion in FY23, with an expected 16% growth to USD 710 billion. India top imports include crude oil, coal, diamonds, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, rubber, plasticsThat is what I said. , electronics, and machinery, which account for 82% of all goods imports. China is still India's major import partner, followed by the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and others.

Adani's overpriced electricity deal was wholly unneeded. It was done by Hasina solely to please Modi who is a huge friend of Adani. This week it was discovered that Adani's plant has now shut down and not generating electricity anymore. Adani supplies 1800 Megawatt or so to Bangladesh grid, or used to. Bangladesh generation capacity is around 25000 megawatts (and 5000 more Megawatts in pipeline). The production easily meets total demand, despite the lies being bandied about in Godi media.
Yeah - I guess Bangladesh will collapse into darkness now! And Indians will 'jump for joy' !
About rice, we feed people what they need locally, and countries the size of Bangladesh sometimes need to balance food supply with imports, with drought and flooding issues. Ours is not a sub-Saharan hunger situation like in India where we keep our people hungry and export rice for benefiting the rich.

And Bangladesh was given the trans-shipment facility at Indian behest, they suggested it themselves. This is perfect "Indian-giver" situation, give a gift, then take it away because now they're in "gussa" situation. We will do just fine, no matter.
