That was true couple of decades back. Now all the states are doing exceedingly well. Pakistan has become certified begger and BD is competing with Pakistan to surpass Pakistan to become a failed state

If you call this "doing exceedingly well" than I have nothing to say.

We have a proverb in Bangladesh,

"Cows don't keel over dead because of vulture wishes." Bangladesh' values of interfaith harmony is nothing like Indian religious hate. When you rule with hate as a principle, then you push down your country further and further into 3rd world status.

India now has way more ideological and political fissures, especially because of Chaiwala policies such as Hindi and Hindu hegemony. I suspect within the next ten or fifteen years the NE and even some states in the South will separate from the cow belt. That is what the deep state and America wants, and you can do nothing to resist that.

Especially with the educational qualifications and political acumen of the current Indian leaders. Now - the only thing they are banking on, is the Indian electorate being dumb and stupid forever, but that is changing too. You have the Internet nowadays.

So - that is the future.

You don't give smart poor people jobs, you are doomed as leadership of a country.

Just cossetting maybe 1-2% of your populace and giving them backoffice jobs and business opportunities and leaving out the rest to live like Sub-Saharan Africa (maybe even worse) is a policy destined to fail your country.

Bangladesh is built on a "bottom up economy". Nothing like India.
