How the US Keeps Fighting China, Knowing It Won’t Win?

Why the problematic relationship between China and the US is far from resolved in 2023? Today we are honoured to have Radhika Desai, Director of the Geopolitical Economy Research Group, University of Manitoba, she will explain to us why US is obsessed in fighting with China, knowing it is bound to lose.

Extract from the video

"Everybody expected that there would be good relations but then the United States went hysterical over the " spy balloon" and everything else happened and so on. But I would say that throughout all of this, the United States has acted irresponsibly, provocatively, rudely and in ways that you know it can not sustain because it has threatened things that it can not actually back up, there's no back it can not actually do.

Whereas I would say that president Xi Jinping and his government and his diplomats and everyone have essentially engaged with the United States in particular with a remarkable combination of a calm demeanor against provocation. You know not taking it as a personal insult but behaving calmly even the United States has been behaving insultingly, because they know the prospect for world peace depend on them and so
I would say that China has very good reasons to be proud of its government, of its president, and of its diplomats because I think that this has been generally the demeanor they have kept the larger picture in mind that you can not create a warlike situation between the United States and China and not endanger world peace, so they keep that larger view in mind and I think they have behaved exceedingly responsibly and I would say with as I say great self-command and restraint.
China is very happy to see be a prosperous society in a world of properous societies. The United States is the opposite, ......"

For most people, a good relationship is a one-way train. One dictates, and the other obeys with no questions asked. The relationship becomes bad when questions are raised. The problem with the American establishment ( not the general American public) is that they always want to play a zero-sum game.; with everything on their terms. It usually works with the Europeans, who have saved trillions of dollars over the last 50 years by outsourcing their defense to the US taxpayers while creating an artificial social safety net for the European population with that saved money. Europeans became lazy and unproductive while innovation and manufacturing went down the drain. People's China has created a new model of development which the world has never seen before. Therefore, the American establishment will only hurt themselves if they try to bite People's China.

Good relationship in US mind is total master-slave relationship, anything short of it will make US flip out.
