Bangladesh air force uses MI-17 in the UN mission. One squadron of MIG-21 was gifted by erstwhile Soviet Union in 1973. MIG-21s have been sent to retirement many years ago. A few examples of MIG-21s can be seen in the Military museum in Dhaka. MIG-29s were purchased in 2001 and are still in service.
