Short Summary: India scrambles as Bangladesh deploys TB2 drones near the border adjacent to Kolkata, challenging regional hegemony. India also deployed anti-drone measures
It's your media that is raising waves with the news that Bayraktars were deployed near the India Bangladesh border by Bangladesh. It started two weeks ago and every Indian news outlet had experts keep talking ad nauseum about Bayraktars.

Let's not belittle a platform before seeing some action - which hopefully won't ever happen...

I am not referring to that. I am referring to what BD posters have written here.

Failed? This little tactical drone destroyed S300 systems and was crucial in sinking the Russian flahship Moskva.

Damage it inflicted is in Billions of dollars with a B. What more does it have to do to be a success in your opinion? lol

How can you be so consistently wrong about everything. According to you Iran was going to kick our asses in Syria. What happened?

First of all, No plane in world can destroy S300. This is not a single unit. It has multiple missile batteries located across a large geographical location. Its radar is located at one place and all these batteries are spread across many K.M. with 3 sorts of missiles with different ranges ranging from 40 to 300 K.M. It is possible to hit one battery at the most with one missile fire or drone but saying that S 300 was destroyed by drone is a pure ignorance. Even nuclear bomb cannot destroy S300.

Let them be happy. Now adays they face food issue and Arkan Army is screwing them from Mynmar side, They have a right to be happy.

J @Jiangnan can add to their happiness or be a participant in their happiness by adding to their fun with offer of sale of J10. 19 of which has fallen till date and J @Jiangnan is silent on that.
Bhai, TB-2's are now obsolete. They had a good run when they came out for an year or two but now they stand zero chance in Ukraine or against China or Iran or anybody with robust air defenses.

I believe they'll still work against the Afghani talibunnies or Somali warlords though:

You missed the point of the article you quoted.

TB2s are more used in Recon now than in armed missile attack because of Russian defenses which have improved against incoming drones like Bayraktars.

But India is no Russia in that respect.

Still - Bangladesh Army (AFAIK) does not have any plans to use TB2s in armed mode for attacks.

BTW - they are also getting Akinci which is a higher capacity drone and can reportedly coordinate "wingman" style with existing fighters in Bangladesh inventory.

You've been wrong about everything. If I were you I would just shut up and try to learn something.

These drones will work wherever we send them.

We now have standoff missiles and electronic warfare pods that can be used with TB2 and Aksungur alike. Supported with ground based EW systems such as Koral. They can operate in any environment.

Man you'll never fight India like Pakistan will never fight them either.

And these sort of UCAV drones toting missiles have largely disappeared from Ukraine long ago due to severe losses.

Indian air defenses on its western borders are strong and these drones can only have limited success at best. I'm not sure what the deployment of SAM defenses is like on India's eastern borders, but recently India has significantly upgraded its SAM forces including fielding several locally developed systems.

Pakistan has a hundred Chinese and Turkish drones but has hardly ever used them against the talibunnies. Nobody knows the reason, but we are fairly confident that to use these assets properly you need excellent ISR preferably real time data/ intelligence gleaned from space based assets, which Pakistan has no access to.

Nonsense. The whole point of these UAVs is reconnaissance. It's the whole reason Turkey built them. Strike capability is secondary and it was added later.

Earlier on TAI ANKA and Heron UAVs would find where the terrorists are and we'd hit them with artillery.

They can't observe the terrorists for long no?, unless they's primitive talibunnies or Somali or Sudanese warlords of Boko Haram with no radar coverage on the spectrum.

The reason why the US predator campaign gained notoriety post 9-11 was that CIA satellites were watching the Af-Pak border 24/7/ 365. Not only did the CIA have real time visuals but also the acoustic eavesdropping no?

That's how the US could stay in Af-Pak for this long bhai.

Otherwise it would've been a lot shorter stay no?

Your TB-2's get a whole lotta help from NATO/ CIA assets, or they'd be worthless like the Pakistani drones no?

Iran's got its own spy satellites now......and yous barely got a space program.
