General Quality of photos/images stored in Gmail & Facebook reduces after some days

Quality/resolution of photos/images stored in Gmail and Facebook reduces after some days. I don't know about Google Drive. But I am sure of Gmail and Facebook. I have seen some images saved in Gmail and Facebook. The clarity had definitely reduced. Did anyone else felt the same?

no idea, never checked.

should be all good as long as you have the original high res pics stored on your computer or phone,
