I corrected grammar and changed "Child of Indus" to "Son of Indus". And "passed" to "passes". The first was a suggestion from @Krishna with Flute. Hope these changes are agreeable.

Another masala point for nostalgia.

If I am not wrong - अगर मैं गलत नहीं हु - Manmohan Singh, while announcing the economic liberalisation in parliament in 1991, had quoted the lines of Urdu poem, Sarfaroshi ki tamannah ab hamare dil mein hai.. The opposition responded mockingly by laughing and ridiculing him as he uttered the lines.
