It is very difficult to understand Iran as its government does not reflect the aspiration of their people. Iran government practice a policy of freewheeling opportunism. It does not have any long term policy.

So far as Turkey is concerned, I have never seen any country changing its policy 180 degree in such a short period of time. It completed the journey of shooting down Russian Su27 and threatening Russia to buying S400 from Russia is a short period of time.
