Im not a geologist but I suspect mountain ranges (like the Hindu Kush) are natural barriers that go deep when it comes to oil field deposits.

All our oil is in kpk near Attock and all our gas (remaining) in Qadirpur/Dherki/ Omerkot region. Balochi gas saari choos gaey kub key. It’s all gone and Sui gas fields pressure is so low now….

Incidentally when I worked down unda the huge $26 billion dollar Santos GLNG project produced less gas in a year doc than what Iran fukking flares in a day and burns it off cuz it’s just a by product…..
