There's 3 biggies they use in the world of test cricket

The Duke ball.. in England, Ireland and the Caribbean/Windies

The SG balls.. India wonly !

and the Kookaburra ball down under, NZ, Aus, RSA, Pakistan, Lanka, BD and the rest.

Alag alag charesterics hote hain sab ke, Dukes swing the most, Kookas have the most pronounced seam, SG tends to reverse after it gets scuffed up (non lacquer side gets porus and absorbs sweat, spit and moisture, gets heavy)

The theory otherwise is, smooth surface stays constant, but scuff wala causes it to go aerodynamically bend in it's direction... but jab bhaari ho jaati hai, then the weight makes it go the other way.

Always the bombay style hard red rubber ball. Not tennis. Its bounce is weird and its too light. The local variety were heavier and better, but the bounce was still chtyaish.
