Hey guys,That's pretty cool, Doc.. bespoke maal, handcrafted to lajawaabness !
There's 3 biggies they use in the world of test cricket
The Duke ball.. in England, Ireland and the Caribbean/Windies
The SG balls.. India wonly !
and the Kookaburra ball down under, NZ, Aus, RSA, Pakistan, Lanka, BD and the rest.
Alag alag charesterics hote hain sab ke, Dukes swing the most, Kookas have the most pronounced seam, SG tends to reverse after it gets scuffed up (non lacquer side gets porus and absorbs sweat, spit and moisture, gets heavy)
The theory otherwise is, smooth surface stays constant, but scuff wala causes it to go aerodynamically bend in it's direction... but jab bhaari ho jaati hai, then the weight makes it go the other way.![]()
This guy is making some random brand ki not ICC selected one I think, still cool.
If you have played cricket, was it with real ball (requiring pads, gloves, etc) or with tennis ball or the rubber ball?
