Al-Turkiya is fully on US bhatta bhai. The US moves its hand and Al-Turkiya wouldn't last a week. It's a CIA country like Pakistan, Poland or Sawdi Judea.

The RE cruisers are Super Meteor 650 and Meteor 350, both of which suffer from low power to weight ratio compared to Japanese motorbikes.

The engine design and tuning of RE bikes is long stroke and hence stresses fuel efficiency (Indian trait), which results in the low power to weight ratio, though Japanese bikes are no less fuel efficient and delivers way more torque and power, some say the Japanese engine designs are more evolved and more modern which may be the cause.

The fact that RE bikes are about 25% heavier than equivalent Japanese bikes does not help matters. RE needs to look at shaving off some of the weight.

Style wise the RE Meteor series bikes are nice to look at, but in the US the prices are definitely not cheaper than Japanese bikes which are quite a bit more proven and reliable.

MSRP/MRP is $4300 for the lighter meteor 350 and $6999 for the heavier Super Meteor 650.

That said, all my Stateside Indian friends have bought Harleys, resale value is a bit higher. I don't blame them.

They have good power to weight ratio. What will you do with a bike of 1200 cc? Of course, they too have some friend following but it is useless for most of bike enthusiast and totally useless for those who want to use it as a medium of transport and styling.

The other issue is that they are too costly and unaffordable for most of the people including people in west with high Income.

$8000 for a low end Harley (Street 500 which is the same class as RE Super Meteor 650) is easy to afford for most middle or lower middle class people living in the West Coast. Most will finance it and pay it off in monthly installments which is easy to do. If they spring for one, that is.

But that is cheap. Cheap as in Kawasaki Vulcan cheap, not QJ (Keeway-V302) cheap.

Most of my friends who have Harleys in my neighborhood will usually pay for Electra Glides, which are easily in the $30,000 range or more with customized seats and accessories. That is what a real Harley costs in the US. They are not looking for cheap substitutes.

It is what it is I guess.

These are only for hobby-group (club) riding in the weekends, not means of transportation. They are detailed and kept in spotless pristine shape. Most club members will not show up at a weekend ride with a non-Harley bike.

I said the same. These costly bikes address a niche segment of small group with high income. Something like Royal Enfield may address some bike enthusiast having lower budget,

@Sharmaji In see too many posts of no value Sir.

How does any reader extract any value from a post with "god damn it" in it?

I know you are trying to be gregarious, but you don't need a separate post to say that.

Unless you are trying to increase your post count. Just saying.

Your last three posts can be combined into one post.

Also calling people "Muzzer" or "Muzzie" can be offensive. Muzzers are people just like you, with some self-respect.

Bhai Chit Chat fine means anything off topic is OK, but forum rules still apply about inappropriate language.

Calling people racial or group nicknames (slurs or slang) degrades the value of the forum.

Muzzie, Pajeet, Lungi are names like this. You get the point. Please let me know if you see names like this.

What's wrong with lungi?

How about Bharti?

Please do not use slang names or offensive slurs, any such are against forum rules.

What's slang or offensive about lungi.

Its a garment worn by most of your countrymen.

Are you so westoxified as to look down on your own ex countrymen?

Granted they have a peculiar body odor.

Granted they are short dark and not entirely pleasant looking.

But still. You are of them man.

You can take a lungi to Malibu.

You cannot take Malibu to a lungi.

I have never worn a Lungi in my life, but many Bangladeshis (and Indians) do.

Please don't characterize people by their looks or terms like body odor. It is immature behavior.

These are human beings you are talking about, you are no better or worse compared to them.

The way you use the term Lungi - is as a derogatory slang gaali (name calling) for Bangladeshis (like Indian trolls do).

Calling people names like Lungi is tantamount to hate speech and will attract trolling behavior from people who take offense.

This is against forum rules. Please abide by them.

Be sensible - give human beings the human dignity they deserve.

Naah. I'll call you lungi.
