General Working women in Pakistan

I thought Pakistan and India are similar. Why then @Lulldapull says that Pakistan is unsafe for working women? Does he mean sexual harassment like passing lewd comments, etc.? But I heard that happens in India also. @Lulldapull was suggesting worse. If I am not wrong, agar main galat nahi hoon, he meant that in Pakistan, if a woman works as a street vendor/hawker she would be abducted. Why is it so bad in Pakistan? Isn't it because of Pakistan's religion? Mods may disagree. Then explain why despite Indian society being similar to Pakistani society, only Indian women are free to work as street vendors/hawkers?

Millions of Pakistani women work in offices and hospitals etc, where there is security.

My contention was women will have trouble working independently as street hawkers and vendors due to rampant crime.

There were some Pakistanis who traveled here relatively recently and were astonished by the amount of women driving, 2 wheelers and cars, and sometimes bigger commercial ones. At least Dilli, Mumbai, Pune, B'luru type big cities.

It probably is much more prevalent here, in fact rural India/gaon/dehat land also they driving scooties. Busses, metro, women only cabs.. pilots too, kaafi scene hai. Not sure how it is is Pakistan but I'm guessing iss mamley m your lot a bit more conservative and reticent? to allow your woman folk out that way.

That was N.Siddiqui of original PDF. He had made this observation of many women riding two wheelers / scooters, on his visit to India (Bangalore specifically).

Instead of personal accounts, one needs to look at formal studies, Pakistan and India are roughly in the same category as far as female labor force participation. Of course Bangladesh is (though not a matrilineal society like Bhutan or Nepal) on another level. Culturally Bangladesh is far more lenient about female labor force participation than even India.

This is the only data found for 2020, apparently things have progressed beyond this in all countries, but trends remain similar ratio-wise.

India - despite the claims of the OP, remains a low female labor participation society, as corroborated by data. A few women driving trucks or scooties makes little difference. Read the article to know why.

Pakistan is a terrible place for working women surrounded by horny, lecherous men and their co conspirators who don't have the balls to stand up for their sisters.
