As we know it is Haraam to eat pork in Islam.

Eating pork is forbidden in Islam, Judaism, and Ethiopian Tawahedo Orthodox Christianity.

One of my Non-Muslim classmates laughed in university, saying he had to go see for himself. He said its too fatty for him.

He was thinking maybe in the spiritual sense that pork is sinful. LOL.

There is disease in Pork, notably pork tapeworm. LOL.

That’s actually is a very Bengali interpretation of subcontinent Chinese fare of HK.

Most Chinese restaurant chefs in Karachi are traditionally bengal folk.

Prawn Malai Curry (made with Nariel ka doodh - coconut milk) is big and has its own place in everyday Bengali fare. In fact there are quite a few Burmese/Cambodian/Thai items that are common in current Bangladeshi fare, like

Khow suey

Bangladeshi upper class culinary fare (for Gen X) nowadays is more South East Asian inspired rather than North Indian inspired.

Ye dekh bhai.......Chinese food k lund lugga detay hain ye log!

This is not Chinese food at all:

Very fraudulent and an abomination of Japanese tempura. Should have used Panko breadcrumbs. Even regular dry desi Pau breadcrumbs should have sufficed.

This is what Prawn tempura SHOULD look like.

Yum, love me a khao suey.. love how you can mix and match your own way with dozen or so chhotu cups with fried onions, roasted peanuts, some greens, some chilli something, chives and god know what all they serve.

There's this place called Burma Burma here, veg though, which is kinda unfortunate.. but great food, so good you don't even miss the meat.
